The data collected from the study of KAP among doctors of Bangalore and Jaipur toward EMR was analyzed. All the three components of KAP survey were analyzed individually including findings under each component.

 

About 63 % respondents from Bangalore and 23% respondents from Jaipur had knowledge of EMR system.

Electronic medical record (EMR) is computerized medical information systems that include collection, storage and display of individual patient’s clinical record.EMR has clinical workflow interface to practice management systems. All Individual patients’ data get collected and organized to further access clinical information. EMRs are intended to replace existing unmanageable; space consuming paper based medical records of patients to electronic form. EMR provides easy and instant access to old patient’s detailed data.

 

 


 

 

To understand existing knowledge of, attitude toward and practices of use of EMR system among doctors

 

 

 

 

 

 

A descriptive study was conducted in two cities of India with 100 doctors as study population. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire by interview technique.The data collection source for the study was primary data.
